چکیده
Over the past few decades, several high-resolution gridded precipitation products have been developed using multiple data sources and techniques, including measured precipitation, numerical modeling, remote sensing. Each has its own sets of uncertainties limitations. Therefore, evaluating these datasets is critical in assessing their applicability various climatic regions. We used ten datasets, (in situ), gauge-based, satellite-based products, to assess relevance for hydrologic modeling at Bosque River Basin North-Central Texas. Evaluated include: (1) situ station from Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN); (2) gauge-based dataset Daymet Parameter-elevation Regression on Independent Slope Model (PRISM); (3) Integrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals Precipitation Measurement (IMERG), Early Late, Estimation Remotely Sensed Information Artificial Neural Networks (PERSIANN) PERSIANN-CCS (Cloud Classification System); (4) gauge-corrected IMERG-Final, PERSIANN-CDR (Climate Data Record), CHIRPS Hazards Group Infrared with Station data). spatial modeling of summer precipitation in North-west of Iran
In the present study, the main aim was the spatial evaluation summer rainfall of northwest of Iran based on30 stations in northwest of Iran during 30 years of statistical period (1985-2014). An attempt, using geo-statistical modeling by ordinary least squares (OLS) and geographically weighted regression (GWR) procedures, was also made. The results represented that the GWR model with higher S2, ...
متن کاملEvaluation of Gridded Precipitation Data for Driving SWAT Model in Area Upstream of Three Gorges Reservoir
Gridded precipitation data are becoming an important source for driving hydrologic models to achieve stable and valid simulation results in different regions. Thus, evaluating different sources of precipitation data is important for improving the applicability of gridded data. In this study, we used three gridded rainfall datasets: 1) National Centers for Environmental Prediction-Climate Foreca...

Deficiency and inappropriate distribution of reengage station is one of challenges faced by researchers in hydrology and climate science. In this research, evaluate the applicability of four gridded precipitation data products ERA-Interim, PERSIANN-CDR, PERSIANN-CCS and CRU as a supplement or substitute for ground data in a monthly time scales. This assessment was done by comparison with observ...
متن کاملEstimating Historical California Precipitation Phase Trends Using Gridded Precipitation, Precipitation Phase, and Elevation Data
Climate change projections for California indicate reduction in the percentage of precipitation that falls as snow, and increase in the percentage that falls as rain, due to warmer temperatures in the future. Previous work has shown overall decreases in rainfall / snowfall ratios for the western US over the last 60 years. Of interest in this study is the quantification of snow/rain ratios for s...
